Navigating the treacherous terrain of Act 2 in Baldur's Gate 3 requires finding a safe haven from the deadly Shadow Curse. The Last Light Inn serves as the primary sanctuary for players and key NPCs like Jaheira and Isobel during this chapter. Understanding where to find this crucial landmark and how to travel there safely ensures your party avoids unnecessary danger.

Where Is the Last Light Inn Located?

The Last Light Inn is located in the northern region of the Shadow-Cursed Lands in Act 2. It sits protected within a glowing magical barrier maintained by the cleric Isobel. This protective bubble shields everyone inside from the corrupting effects of the darkness.

Reaching the Inn via the Underdark Route

Entering Act 2 through the Underdark via the Grymforge elevator places you closer to the sanctuary. After taking the elevator, make sure your party has light sources or torches prepared to ward off basic shadow damage. Following the main road toward the north will quickly lead you to a group of Harpers who can guide you directly to the barrier.

Navigating from the Mountain Pass

If you enter Act 2 using the Mountain Pass, the journey to the inn is slightly longer. You will encounter a group of cultists and a Drider carrying a Moonlantern that offers protection. You can either follow them or ambush the group alongside Harpers to secure a lantern and receive directions to the inn.

Preparing for Arrival at the Safe Haven

Upon reaching the outer perimeter of the inn, players will see a gleaming white dome of light. Harpers guarding the entrance will stop your party for questioning before granting access. Once inside, you can interact with merchants, rest safely, and advance vital companion quests.
